Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate attorney with 3 to 6 years of experience in emerging company and venture capital transactions to join their Boston, MA office. The candidate will work within the Strategic Transactions practice group, focusing on advising early-stage companies and venture capital funds.

Duties

  • Advise early-stage companies through IPO or M&A exit.
  • Guide venture capital funds on investment rounds and investor relationships.
  • Assist with founders' arrangements and initial investments.
  • Provide advice on securities law compliance and corporate governance.
  • Facilitate mergers, acquisitions, and asset sales.
  • Support public offerings and strategic relationships.
  • Conduct due diligence and investment structuring for investors.
  • Advise on investment exit strategies.

Requirements

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school or equivalent.
  • Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • 3 to 6 years of experience in capital markets or securities law.
  • Experience representing early-stage companies and investors.
  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating transaction documents.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using AI technologies responsibly in legal practice.

Education

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school or equivalent.

Certifications
