Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Public Law Associate Attorney in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will join a dynamic team with a focus on public law and municipal representation, providing legal services to cities, counties, and other public agencies throughout California.

Duties

  • Review and draft agreements, including public agency and municipal contracts.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda.
  • Assist with public contracting, procurement, and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Support attorneys with transactional and advisory matters for public agency clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, public officials, and colleagues.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in public agency or municipal law.
  • Excellent writing, research, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • Strong work ethic, self-starter, and team-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to manage matters independently and interface directly with public officials and staff.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the State Bar of California.

Skills

  • Experience with public agency or municipal law.
  • Excellent writing and research skills.
  • Strong analytical and drafting abilities.
