Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate to join the Public Finance practice in Los Angeles, California. This role is ideal for an attorney with experience in public finance or transactional real estate finance. The successful candidate will be fully integrated into transactions, expanding their knowledge and skills while working closely with partners and clients.

Duties

  • Prepare, negotiate, and review transaction documents, including loan, security, and disclosure documents.
  • Draft and negotiate a variety of transaction documents, including leases and real estate-related documentation.
  • Conduct due diligence for financing transactions, including organizational and operational documents.
  • Coordinate transaction closings and ensure appropriate approvals are in place.
  • Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations in relevant areas of the law.
  • Commit to achieving the goals of firm clients.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of conduit and municipal bond financing.
  • Proficiency in asset-based finance and real estate finance transactions.
  • Understanding of various business, nonprofit, and governmental entities.
  • Strong organizational and matter management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and possess a high attention to detail.
  • Work professionally and collaboratively with partners, associates, and support staff.

Education

  • Currently admitted to practice law in California with an active bar license in good standing.

Certifications

  • Active bar license in California.
