Project Finance and Tax Equity Associate or Senior Associate

Job Overview
A law firm seeks a project finance and tax equity associate or senior associate for its Tax Credits and Projects practice in New York, NY. Candidates should have significant transactional experience in debt project finance or tax equity financings, with a focus on renewable energy or clean energy infrastructure.

Duties

• Negotiate and draft credit agreements, collateral documents, and intercreditor arrangements.
• Manage tax equity financings, tax credit sales, and ITC/PTC structures.
• Conduct due diligence on offtake, EPC, supply, and O&M contracts.
• Collaborate with partners and clients on sophisticated multi-tranche financings.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant experience in project finance or tax equity.
• Experience with debt project finance or tax equity financings.
• Exposure to tax credit transferability, infrastructure, LNG, data centers, or private credit is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in New York or eligible for admission.
