Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Innovation Attorney for its Litigation and Intellectual Property units in Wheeling, WV, with options for hybrid or fully remote work within the United States. The role involves enhancing legal service delivery through innovative practices, collaborating across various departments, and reporting to the Managing Director of Practice Innovation.

Duties

• Lead projects to streamline legal service delivery using technology and best practices.
• Integrate and promote legal technology, including generative AI, within practice units.
• Support large litigation teams with workflow design and resource integration.
• Develop client-facing solutions to enhance collaboration and data sharing.
• Create and maintain knowledge libraries and databases for practice content.
• Evaluate and improve legal service efficiency through data analysis and trend monitoring.
• Educate legal professionals on firm resources and technology initiatives.
• Develop case studies and resources for business development.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) and admission to practice in a US jurisdiction.
• Minimum of six years of experience as a litigation or IP attorney in a large law firm.
• Strong communication skills for presenting complex ideas clearly.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle diverse situations.
• Familiarity with legal technology and AI applications in legal services.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.

Education

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited university or college.
