A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Litigation Associate with a focus on Hatch-Waxman litigation and related regulatory matters. This position offers the opportunity to join a team representing some of the most innovative pharmaceutical companies in the world. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in all stages of pharmaceutical patent litigation, including expert discovery and brief drafting, and will bring both legal acumen and a strong technical background in life sciences.
Wheeling, WV
Manage and participate in Hatch-Waxman litigation cases, including ANDA-related patent disputes
Draft, review, and revise legal briefs, motions, and pleadings
Engage in fact discovery, expert discovery, and trial preparation
Conduct legal research and analyze applicable case law and regulatory frameworks
Collaborate with multidisciplinary legal teams including IP litigators and regulatory professionals
Provide strategic counsel to clients on pharmaceutical patent issues
A minimum of 2 years of experience specifically in Hatch-Waxman litigation
Strong background in pharmaceutical patent law
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
Prior law firm experience in intellectual property litigation
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
Strong academic record required
Active and good standing membership in the Bar of at least one U.S. state
Eligibility to practice in the state of intended office location
Excellent legal research, analysis, and writing skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
Background in chemistry, biology, or related life sciences field (preferred)
Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
