Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Environmental Associate to join their Energy & Natural Resources Practice Group in Washington, D.C. The candidate should have 3-5 years of experience focusing on environmental, health, and safety-related matters.

Duties

  • Conduct environmental due diligence for real estate sales and corporate mergers and acquisitions.
  • Counsel clients on environmental regulatory matters.
  • Negotiate civil enforcement matters in environmental and health and safety cases.
  • Litigate complex environmental cases.
  • Manage matters regarding waste disposal, air emissions permitting, and water discharge enforcement.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Active member of the Pennsylvania or Washington, D.C. bar.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar membership in Pennsylvania or Washington, D.C.

Skills
