Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Environmental Associate for its Washington, D.C. office. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients across various industries. The role involves significant responsibility in environmental litigation and regulatory matters.

Duties

  • Handle environmental litigation and regulatory cases.
  • Advise clients on administrative law and environmental statutes.
  • Manage infrastructure and permitting matters under federal regulatory programs.
  • Address complex environmental issues related to chemicals and emerging contaminants.
  • Incorporate feedback from supervising attorneys to improve work quality.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in environmental litigation and regulatory matters.
  • Knowledge of NEPA, Endangered Species Act, and Clean Water Act.
  • Experience with administrative law-related litigation preferred.
  • Strong academic background and superior drafting skills.
  • Proactive, diligent, and team-oriented approach.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in Washington, D.C. required.
