Job Overview: A law firm specializing in economic development law seeks a dynamic Mid-To-Senior Level Associate Attorney to join its New York City office. The ideal candidate will handle various legal matters related to economic development projects, providing expert legal counsel and representation.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex economic development issues.
  • Draft and review contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and court proceedings.
  • Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff on case management and strategy.
  • Attend meetings with clients, stakeholders, and government officials.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar; additional admissions preferred.
  • 4-7 years of experience practicing law, preferably in economic development, real estate, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of managing legal cases independently and effectively.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local laws related to economic development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar is required.
  • Certifications or additional Bar admissions in related fields are advantageous.
