Municipal Attorney - Personal Injury

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Municipal Attorney in New York to join their team. The candidate will handle complex personal injury cases, focusing on municipal claims, and will have the opportunity to mentor junior attorneys in a dynamic environment.

Duties

• Lead and manage a caseload of complex personal injury matters from inception through resolution.
• Conduct depositions, motion practice, court appearances, mediations, and trials.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
• Strategize and execute case plans to maximize outcomes for clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Contribute to firm operations, growth, initiatives, and departmental leadership.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in New York.
• Minimum 5 years of litigation experience.
• Strong understanding of personal injury law and procedure.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
• Prior management or supervisory experience in a law firm or litigation department is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in New York.
