Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated Cyber and Data Privacy Attorney to join its dynamic practice in Chicago, IL. The team provides nationwide litigation defense and 24/7 breach response services, collaborating with global counterparts across 25 jurisdictions. Candidates must be admitted and in good standing in the state they wish to work.

Duties

  • Provide litigation defense for cyber insurers and major corporates.
  • Engage in crisis management and regulatory data risk issues.
  • Advise clients on incident response and investigations.
  • Draft reports, pleadings, and motions; participate in mediations and trials.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of federal litigation experience or 2-6 years in cyber incident response.
  • Experience in proposing litigation strategies and client communication.
  • Additional state admissions are a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in the respective state.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
