Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly skilled Civil Pre-Litigation Attorney to join their legal team in Columbia, SC, or remotely. The role involves providing legal advice, representing clients, and negotiating settlements for personal injury claims.

Duties

  • Provide legal advice to clients regarding personal injury claims.
  • Represent clients during negotiations with insurance companies.
  • Negotiate settlements to ensure clients receive fair compensation.
  • Investigate and gather evidence, interview witnesses, and develop expert opinions.
  • Keep clients informed about case progress and provide guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with legal ethics and professional standards.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 1 year of personal injury experience, either Plaintiff or Defense.
  • Active member in good standing with the South Carolina Bar; North Carolina is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience is a plus.
  • Forward-thinking growth mindset and commitment to learning.

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active member in good standing with the South Carolina Bar.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
