Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Labor & Employment Associate in Albany, New York. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 7 years of experience in handling labor and employment matters in both public and private sectors. This role requires a deep understanding of federal and state labor laws and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Duties

• Represent employers in labor and employment law, including compliance and workplace investigations.
• Conduct internal investigations into employee complaints and regulatory issues.
• Draft and update employment-related documents, such as handbooks and agreements.
• Handle employment litigation matters, including those involving insurance coverage.
• Perform legal research and monitor changes in labor and employment laws.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates and support staff.
• Participate in client meetings and contribute to business development.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively across practice areas.

Education
