Job Overview:
A rapidly growing and client-focused family law firm in California is seeking a highly experienced Senior Trial Attorney to join its legal team in Irvine. This role involves leading high-stakes family law litigation matters, managing complex legal cases from inception through trial, and mentoring junior legal staff. Location:

  • Irvine, California

Duties:

  • Lead and manage litigation cases including discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeals

  • Develop and execute case strategies tailored to client goals and legal realities

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support litigation strategy

  • Prepare and present compelling legal arguments in court settings

  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and settlement agreements

  • Collaborate with clients, expert witnesses, and other legal professionals to build strong cases

  • Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys and paralegals

  • Stay current with changes in family law and related litigation practice areas

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of litigation experience, with significant trial involvement

  • Demonstrated success managing complex, high-stakes litigation matters

  • Experience in family law litigation is preferred

  • Proven ability to lead a legal team and handle multiple priorities

  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities

  • Commitment to ethical practice and high professional standards

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active member in good standing with the California State Bar

Skills:

  • Exceptional oral and written advocacy skills

  • Strong legal research and analytical capabilities

  • High-level negotiation and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to inspire and lead legal teams
