Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Construction Litigation Attorney in Orlando, Florida. The successful candidate will manage a caseload involving construction-related litigation, demonstrating legal proficiency and strategic insight while independently handling cases through trial.

Duties

  • Independently manage a caseload of construction litigation matters from inception through resolution or trial.
  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances.
  • Collaborate with partners and team members on case strategy and complex legal issues.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, providing timely updates, legal analysis, and strategic recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with court deadlines, procedural requirements, and firm standards.
  • Utilize legal research tools and case management systems effectively.

Requirements

  • JD from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice in the state of Florida.
  • 5+ years of defense litigation experience required.
  • Construction defect practice experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in construction law or related practice areas preferred.
  • Drafting discovery and pretrial motions required.
  • 2nd chair trial experience a plus.

Education

  • JD from an ABA accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice in the state of Florida.
