Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Litigation Special Counsel in Orlando, FL. This full-time position supports the Construction Practice Group, focusing on single-family housing matters. Candidates should have 3 to 7 years of litigation experience and be confident in handling a high volume of cases, often proceeding in arbitration.

Duties

• Conduct legal research and draft motions.
• Argue motions in court and handle depositions.
• Engage in mediation, arbitration, and litigation of insurance and construction claims.
• Manage a team of paralegals and support staff.

Requirements

• 3 to 7 years of litigation experience.
• Some deposition and trial experience.
• Experience in mediation, arbitration, and litigation of insurance claims, construction and design defect claims, and related matters is strongly preferred.
• Proven track record in settling cases.
• Prior experience managing a team of paralegals and support staff is beneficial.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education

• JD from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

• Active member of the Florida Bar.
