General Liability Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a General Liability Associate Attorney in New York, New York. This role offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement and the opportunity to join a high-performing litigation team. The position involves defending complex cases in general liability, premises liability, personal injury, tort claims, and more, within a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Duties

• Independently manage a litigation caseload from start to finish.
• Collaborate with attorneys and partners on legal projects.
• Handle court appearances and depositions regularly.
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice in New York.
• 3-8 years of litigation experience, including general liability, personal injury, premises liability, and insurance defense.
• Experience in trucking-related litigation, construction/labor law, and/or transportation matters is highly preferred.
• Understanding of NY Construction Law (Labor Law 200, 240, 241) and experience with OSHA proceedings are a plus.
• Ability to integrate into a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Legal project management experience is helpful.

Education

• JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice in New York.
