Commercial Arbitration Litigation Partner

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced litigation partner in New York, NY, to focus on commercial arbitration matters for technology company clients. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to lead high-stakes arbitration proceedings in a collaborative environment.

Duties

• Lead commercial arbitration proceedings from inception through resolution, including motions practice, hearings, and appeals.
• Defend personal injury claims in the NYC metropolitan area, including app-based and off-platform incidents.
• Draft and argue motions to dismiss, motions to compel arbitration, and other dispositive motions.
• Develop and execute case strategy in coordination with clients.
• Supervise and mentor associates and support staff.
• Manage client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact for key accounts.

Requirements

• Minimum 8-10 years of litigation experience, with significant experience in commercial arbitration.
• Demonstrated experience defending personal injury matters, preferably in a high-volume or technology-sector context.
• Active admission to the New York State Bar required.
• Strong motions practice background, including experience with motions to dismiss and motions to compel arbitration.
• NYC area location preferred.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage a substantial caseload while leading and developing a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
