Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Irvine, CA, to focus on foundational and advanced estate and tax planning for high-net-worth clients. This role offers significant client interaction and the opportunity to develop technical expertise alongside experienced practitioners.

Duties

  • Handle advanced estate and income tax planning for high-net-worth clients.
  • Draft customized foundational and advanced estate planning documents.
  • Meet with clients to guide the design and structure of trusts.
  • Research estate planning, tax, and related legal issues.
  • Evaluate and update template documents and internal procedures.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and grow your practice.
  • Meet an annual billable-hour expectation of 1,600 hours.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the California Bar in good standing.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in estate planning.
  • Strong drafting skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Solid knowledge of estate and gift tax principles.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the California Bar.
