Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced lateral attorney to join its Tax Credit Finance practice in Philadelphia, PA. This role offers the opportunity to engage in a variety of transactional matters, including tax, energy, debt, and equity financing, as well as real estate. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced partners in a growing practice that handles deals nationwide involving partnerships, corporations, tax credits, real estate, and secured lending and equity finance.

Duties

  • Address sophisticated legal issues.
  • Draft and negotiate financing agreements.
  • Review associated diligence.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Engage in creative problem-solving.
  • Apply critical thinking with attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff.
  • Work with urgency while meeting deadlines.
  • Commit to achieving client goals.

Requirements

  • Active bar license in good standing in the locality of the office location.
  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in tax credits, partnerships, corporations, real estate, or secured lending and equity finance.
  • Preference for candidates with a portable book of business.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating agreements.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and professionally.
