The ideal candidate will have a strong background in general employment litigation, including wage and hour disputes, and employment counseling. Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills are required, along with experience in both federal and state courts. A Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and membership in the California State Bar are mandatory. Duties:

  • Represent clients in labor and employment litigation, including wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, and employment discrimination cases.
  • Provide legal counseling to employers on employment law issues, including compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Draft and review employment agreements, employee handbooks, and company policies.
  • Conduct internal investigations and handle employee-related disputes and claims.
  • Prepare and argue motions, manage discovery processes, and represent clients in federal and state court proceedings.
  • Advise clients on best practices for managing employment-related issues and minimizing legal risks.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop and implement effective litigation and counseling strategies.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of labor and employment defense experience.
  • Strong background in general employment litigation and wage and hour disputes.
  • Experience with employment counseling and compliance.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Proven experience in federal and state court litigation.
  • Ability to manage complex cases and provide strategic legal advice.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.

  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting thorough legal research.
