Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Innovation Attorney in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves advising lawyers, matter teams, clients, and practice groups in litigation. The attorney will align innovative legal technologies with workflows, enhancing value and efficiency. They will serve as a conduit between lawyers, clients, and the Technology Department to ensure effective use of technology systems.

Duties

  • Partner with litigation practice groups to optimize legal service delivery using technology.
  • Replicate practice group successes across teams to enhance innovation impact.
  • Configure legal technologies to meet practice group needs.
  • Identify opportunities for technology enhancements in collaboration with the technology department.
  • Serve as a liaison for clients on AI projects and align with client guidelines.
  • Implement outreach initiatives to increase lawyer engagement with technology.
  • Collaborate on projects with various firm teams and departments.
  • Stay informed on legal industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Communicate with vendors to maintain strong relationships and information exchange.
  • Protect sensitive and confidential information.
  • Perform other duties as required to meet firm goals.

Requirements

  • JD or equivalent, admission to the relevant state bar.
  • Minimum two years of experience as a practicing lawyer or in legal operations; litigation experience required.
  • Experience with strategic application of technology in litigation.
  • Proficiency with legal technology and artificial intelligence.
  • Experience in evaluating and implementing legal tech solutions preferred.
  • Knowledge of litigation legal matter lifecycle preferred.
  • Familiarity with techniques to increase legal tech adoption desirable.
  • Experience in business analysis, solution design, or client-facing roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective team player in diverse environments.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized.

Education

  • JD or equivalent.

Certifications

  • Admission to the relevant state bar.
