Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Immigration Attorney in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in immigration law, particularly in representing individuals before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR). This role offers the opportunity to join a growing team and contribute to the firm's expansion.

Duties

  • Consult with 15 to 25 prospective clients weekly, aiming for a 20% to 25% closing rate.
  • Manage cases and clients efficiently, ensuring timely communication and adherence to protocols.
  • Draft and file court pleadings and applications for relief, maintaining quality control.
  • Prepare for client meetings and develop strategies to build strong cases.
  • Conduct legal research and represent clients in state and/or immigration courts.
  • Produce timely reports for supervisors and management, ensuring efficiency.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, leveraging team resources and technology.
  • Meet individual and firm goals, working independently and collaboratively.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law by the highest court of any state.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience practicing in EOIR.
  • Proficient knowledge of immigration law and procedure.
  • Strong litigation, research, and writing skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with MS 365, PDF, Excel, and proficient typing.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar license in any state.
