Corporate/Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:

A respected law firm based in Nashville, TN is seeking a dynamic and versatile Associate Attorney to support practice encompassing corporate, litigation, immigration, M&A, and family law matters. This role involves hands-on legal research, courtroom appearances, drafting, negotiations, and risk evaluation. Ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional ready to take on diverse responsibilities across multiple legal domains.

Duties:

  • Manage a mixed caseload including corporate transactions, civil litigation, immigration issues, mergers & acquisitions, and family law cases

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare memoranda for internal use and court submission

  • Advocate for clients during court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and similar forums

  • Draft, edit, and review legal agreements and supporting documentation

  • Negotiate resolutions in contract disputes and transactional matters

  • Assess legal exposure and develop strategies to minimize future litigation risks

  • Execute due diligence reviews for agreements, business deals, and acquisitions

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of post-bar legal practice in relevant areas

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Tennessee

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a varied legal caseload

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA)

Certifications:

  • Tennessee State Bar admission (in good standing)

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities

  • Effective time management and case organization

  • Adaptability across multiple areas of legal practice

  • Confidence in courtroom and client-facing interactions

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and drafting techniques
