Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Associate to join its Corporate Services Group in Denver. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in reviewing and advising on employee benefit plans and compensation programs, particularly in the context of mergers and acquisitions.

Duties

  • Handle high-level and strategic aspects of multiple legal matters from inception to conclusion.
  • Communicate effectively with attorneys and clients, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
  • Work independently and productively, with a focus on career advancement in Corporate Services.
  • Produce quality legal work and meet billing requirements to ensure excellent client services.
  • Manage and generate business through group and individual efforts.
  • Comply with the highest ethical standards of the legal profession.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and advising on employee benefits plans and executive compensation.
  • Substantial experience in drafting and reviewing sophisticated corporate documents.
  • Prior experience working at a law firm is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in good standing in one or more jurisdictions where the firm conducts business.

Skills

  • Ability to work independently and productively.
