Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level M&A associate with 4-8 years of relevant experience to join the Transactions Practice Group in Raleigh, NC. This role focuses on U.S. and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, emphasizing private equity-driven transactions.

Duties

• Represent clients in complex corporate M&A transactions, including acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, and joint ventures.
• Draft, negotiate, and communicate effectively throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Manage multiple workstreams and interact directly with clients, opposing counsel, and deal teams.
• Engage in business development and build long-term client relationships.

Requirements

• Substantial experience in complex corporate M&A transactions.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple workstreams and client interactions.
• Interest in business development and client relationship building.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing of the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice.
• Timely admission to the Bar of the state where the hiring office is located required.
