Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with two to five years of financial services litigation experience to join their office in Irvine, California. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, eager to manage a caseload, and possess strong interpersonal communication skills.

Duties

  • Manage case files and engage in motion practice.
  • Participate in courtroom opportunities and depositions.
  • Prepare for trials and engage in alternative dispute resolution.
  • Analyze, organize, and draft pleadings, including motions and discovery documents.
  • Conduct e-discovery and fact development.
  • Appear in state and federal courts for case management and pre-trial matters.

Requirements

  • Active California law license.
  • Experience from a regional, national, or reputable local law firm preferred.
  • Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills.
  • Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA, UCC, EFTA, TILA, and UCL/UDAP.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
