A law firm seeks an Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Associate in Chicago, IL. Duties

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support transaction preparation.
  • Draft well-reasoned legal documents, including memos and contracts.
  • Assist in managing complex transactions from inception to resolution.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional support and advice.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative transaction strategies.
  • Participate in high-level legal activities, including client meetings and negotiations.
  • Ensure compliance with legal standards and stay updated on legal precedents.
  • Engage in professional development to enhance legal and leadership skills.
  • Contribute to firm programs, civic organizations, and pro bono work.

Requirements

  • 3 years of corporate experience.
  • Experience with AmLaw 100 firm preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Produce timely, accurate, and quality work products.
  • Manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice in the state of Illinois.
