Job Overview
A law firm seeks an Associate to join its Business, Property, and Construction Law Practice Group in San Francisco, CA. The role involves supporting the legal needs of California public school districts in transactional and litigation matters.

Duties

  • Provide guidance on compliance with laws and regulatory processes, including CEQA and DTSC.
  • Assist clients with construction delivery methods, land acquisition, and state-funded programs.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements, including construction and service contracts.
  • Support litigation tasks, including discovery, legal research, and document review.
  • Conduct research and legal analysis of pertinent laws and perform legislative analysis.
  • Prepare board resolutions, agenda items, and other legal documents.
  • Identify legal issues, develop strategies, and recommend solutions for client needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of legal experience in business, real property, or construction matters.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility and initiative to work on a variety of legal matters.
  • Commitment to exceptional client service and satisfaction.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Litigation experience preferred.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • California State Bar admission.

Skills
