Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Trust Litigation Attorney for its Tustin, CA office. The ideal candidate will be an experienced attorney with a strong background in trust litigation, capable of managing cases independently and providing innovative solutions for clients.

Duties

  • Manage probate, trust litigation, and conservatorship matters with minimal oversight.
  • Conduct court appearances, depositions, and handle discovery processes.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and staff to delegate tasks effectively.
  • Guide clients through probate, trust, and conservatorship administration and litigation.
  • Draft legal documents including discovery, motions, and trial briefs.
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
  • Participate in settlement conferences and advise clients on case outcomes.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of California.
  • 3+ years of experience in probate, trust litigation, and conservatorship.
  • Trial or deposition experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred but not required.
  • Reliable transportation for court and client meetings.
  • Strong communication skills with diverse client backgrounds.
  • Proficient in time tracking and billing.
  • Strong computer skills with a minimum typing speed of 45 wpm.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • California State Bar admission.
  • Notary Public is a plus.

Skills

  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Knowledge of fiduciary accountings is a plus.
