Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Charleston, SC, to join their defense litigation team. This role offers the opportunity to engage in diverse practice areas, including commercial litigation, transportation, construction defect, and business liability.

Duties

  • Manage a full litigation caseload from initial review to resolution.
  • Draft legal documents such as complaints, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct depositions and manage discovery processes.
  • Represent clients in court, handling all aspects of trial proceedings.
  • Advise clients on legal options and strategies.
  • Negotiate settlements and handle appeals.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the South Carolina State Bar.
