Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate specializing in Data Privacy to join its team in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have over five years of litigation experience and hold an active California Bar license.

Duties

• Handle litigation matters related to data privacy laws, including CCPA and GDPR.
• Defend data breach class actions, privacy torts, and statutory claims.
• Engage in trial preparation and courtroom activities, including motion practice and depositions.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents with precision.
• Negotiate settlements and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of litigation practice experience.
• Active California Bar license.
• Experience with state, federal, and international data privacy laws.
• Proven track record in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the California Bar.
