Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Environmental Litigation Attorney to join their team in Denver, CO. The attorney will focus on complex environmental and civil litigation in both state and federal courts. Remote candidates will be considered.

Duties

  • Manage multiple complex cases concurrently.
  • Initiate strategic oversight to bring cases to conclusion.
  • Prepare and litigate cases from start to finish.
  • Draft and prepare pleadings and complex motions.
  • Manage discovery processes effectively.
  • Identify and retain expert witnesses.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Conduct legal research and author briefs.
  • Participate in hearings and trials across various states.
  • Engage in case strategy discussions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on cases.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law.
  • 10+ years of experience in complex litigation.
  • Environmental/Toxic Torts experience preferred.
  • Class action and multidistrict litigation experience.
  • Proven legal research and writing skills.
  • Experience in state and federal courts.
  • Experience managing discovery and depositions.
  • Hearing and trial experience with strong oral presentation skills.
  • Experience mentoring and managing junior team members.
  • Proficiency in Adobe, Excel, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with E-Discovery and law programs.

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law.
