Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Environmental Litigation Attorney to join their team in Denver, CO. The attorney will focus on complex environmental and civil litigation in state and federal courts, advocating for clients' rights and delivering exceptional legal services. Remote candidates will be considered.

Duties

  • Manage multiple complex cases concurrently.
  • Initiate strategic steps to bring cases to conclusion.
  • Prepare and litigate cases from start to finish.
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and responses.
  • Manage discovery processes and document analysis.
  • Identify and retain experts, assist in report preparation.
  • Take and defend depositions of various witnesses.
  • Conduct legal research, author briefs, and argue motions.
  • Participate in hearings and complex trials across states.
  • Engage in case strategy discussions and contribute ideas.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on cases.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law.
  • 10+ years of experience in complex litigation.
  • Environmental/Toxic Torts experience preferred.
  • Class action and multidistrict litigation experience.
  • Proven legal research and writing skills.
  • Experience in state and federal court litigation.
  • Experience managing discovery and depositions.
  • Hearing and trial experience with strong oral skills.
  • Experience mentoring and managing junior team members.
  • Proficiency in Adobe, Excel, Microsoft Office, and legal software.

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law.
