Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Construction Litigation Attorney in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area. The role involves representing various parties in construction projects, including contractors and design professionals, with a focus on both private and public construction matters.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive case assessments, including legal research and factual investigation.
  • Draft, file, and respond to pleadings and motions in compliance with applicable rules.
  • Manage all aspects of the discovery process, including depositions.
  • Prepare for and represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Develop litigation strategies and case plans with clients and legal teams.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Prepare trial materials such as exhibits and trial briefs.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and strategy.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree.
  • Licensed to practice law in Florida, preferably in additional jurisdictions.
  • Two plus years of construction or commercial litigation experience.
  • Strong academic credentials, preferably with law review experience.
  • Proficiency in state and federal civil procedures.

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Florida.
