Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Real Estate Construction Associate in Washington, DC. This role offers immediate responsibility and meaningful client exposure, working on high-impact projects across the United States and internationally. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in transactional work, dispute resolution, and day-to-day project counseling.

Duties

  • Engage with clients to deliver practical, business-oriented solutions from project inception through completion.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide seamless, integrated service on construction matters.
  • Draft and negotiate construction agreements, including design-build and EPC contracts.
  • Support complex transactions related to real estate development and construction projects.
  • Conduct due diligence and legal research for project development and risk management.
  • Assist in resolving construction-related disputes through arbitration and litigation.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in real estate, construction, or energy.
  • Construction law experience is highly valued.
  • Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing in the relevant state.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of employment.
