The role involves advising clients and supporting partners and senior attorneys across various gaming sectors, including sports wagering and fantasy sports.

Duties

  • Provide legal advisory services across all aspects of online gaming.
  • Analyze product features and business models for legal compliance.
  • Guide clients on licensing requirements and regulatory processes.
  • Advise on multistate operational strategies and jurisdictional legality.
  • Monitor and interpret gaming laws and enforcement trends.
  • Engage with emerging markets, offering practical advice.
  • Collaborate on cross-disciplinary matters with various teams.
  • Conduct business development and client outreach activities.
  • Delegate tasks and manage junior attorneys.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in gaming, sports wagering, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to engage with novel product categories confidently.
  • Proactive work style and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills with sophisticated clients.
  • Understanding of the business of law.
  • Membership in the State Bar of the office location or ability to become admitted promptly.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
