Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly qualified associate with over three years of experience to join its Private Equity Group in New York. The candidate will work collaboratively in teams and independently manage transaction components, focusing on asset management M&A.

Duties

• Collaborate with teams on private equity transactions.
• Independently manage components of M&A transactions.
• Focus on GP stakes transactions within asset management.
• Handle corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions.
• Manage leveraged recapitalizations and growth equity transactions.
• Oversee venture capital transactions and exits.
• Administer equity compensation matters.

Requirements

• Over three years of relevant legal experience.
• Strong experience in asset management M&A.
• Proactive with strong business acumen.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage client and counsel relationships effectively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly in New York.
