Job Overview

A law firm seeks an attorney with 3-6 years of experience to join its Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation practice in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will support client teams on matters related to tax-qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, and compensation programs, including M&A transactions and executive compensation.

Duties

  • Draft plan documents and assist with corrections.
  • Negotiate vendor agreements.
  • Support transactional work, including due diligence and disclosure schedules.
  • Prepare and review materials for fiduciary committee meetings.
  • Analyze client questions, conduct research, and draft responses.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Licensed and in good standing in the state of practice.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to review, analyze, and apply detailed regulations.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • State Bar admission.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating legal documents.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and interface with clients.
