Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Construction Associate with 3-4 years of construction transactional law experience to join its Real Estate Group in Atlanta, GA. The candidate should have experience drafting and negotiating construction, design, consulting, and related contracts for commercial, energy, and large infrastructure projects. Experience with EPC contracts in the energy sector and construction litigation is preferred. Candidates should possess strong academic backgrounds and prior experience in a large or mid-sized law firm.

Duties

  • Draft and negotiate design, construction, and development agreements across various industry sectors.
  • Draft and negotiate EPC contracts on large infrastructure and energy projects.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients regarding claims management and construction defect claims.
  • Support construction teams in litigation and arbitration matters, including drafting pleadings and preparing for hearings.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant law experience.
  • Experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm or with the SEC.

  • JD

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice in the state in which you are applying.
