Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate to join the Securities and Capital Markets Group in Washington, DC. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative team on a diverse range of multidisciplinary practices, engaging in business development and client-facing activities.

Duties

  • Collaborate with shareholders on securities and capital markets transactions.
  • Participate in business development and client-facing activities.
  • Manage and execute debt and equity offerings, M&A transactions, and SEC compliance.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience in corporate, securities, capital markets, and M&A at an AM Law 100 firm.
  • Strong transactional skills and experience with debt and equity offerings.
  • Experience with SEC compliance and reporting; securitizations and aviation clients experience is a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Education

  • J.D. degree with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

  • Admitted and in good standing in Illinois, New York, District of Columbia, or Florida.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in managing complex transactions.
