Bankruptcy Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Attorney in Fort Mitchell, KY, with the option for remote work. The ideal candidate will have experience representing secured creditors in consumer Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases. While 2+ years of experience is preferred, the firm is open to training a team-oriented candidate with less experience. A license to practice law in Ohio and/or Kentucky is required.

Duties

• Manage routine bankruptcy matters.
• Draft and review pleadings and claims.
• Attend scheduled hearings.
• Respond to firm-wide bankruptcy inquiries.
• Review client filings.
• Monitor electronic filings (ECFs).
• Resolve routine bankruptcy issues.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court.

Requirements

• Knowledge of bankruptcy rules and creditor rights laws.
• Computer literacy and keyboard skills.
• Professionalism and attention to detail.
• Strong time management and communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Ohio and/or Kentucky.
• Admitted to District and/or Bankruptcy Courts in Ohio and/or Kentucky.

Skills
