Job Overview:

A multi-state regional law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney licensed in Tennessee to join its Nashville office. This position focuses on retail and commercial collections, creditors’ rights counseling, and litigation. The ideal candidate will be capable of handling a litigation docket independently from initial investigation through trial or resolution. Location:

  • Nashville, TN

Duties:

  • Manage litigation files related to collections and creditors' rights

  • Represent clients in court for hearings, motions, and trials

  • Draft pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions

  • Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies

  • Maintain client communication and reporting throughout case life cycle

  • Work collaboratively with internal legal teams and support staff

  • Ensure compliance with applicable court rules and firm protocols

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in Tennessee

  • Litigation experience preferred, especially in collections or commercial disputes

  • Ability to manage a full caseload with minimal supervision

  • Familiarity with state and federal court procedures

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Admitted and in good standing with the Tennessee State Bar
