Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its civil litigation practice in Charlotte, NC. This hybrid role offers a dynamic opportunity to engage in multi-state litigation, providing meaningful responsibility and mentorship from seasoned trial lawyers.

Duties

• Defend high-exposure general liability matters, including premises, product, and construction liability.
• Manage cases in collaboration with supervising partners.
• Draft and argue motions, prepare discovery, and take depositions.
• Appear in court and contribute to trial preparation and trial.
• Work directly with clients on sophisticated, high-stakes matters.

Requirements

• 2-7 years of general liability defense experience.
• Active North Carolina bar license required; South Carolina preferred.
• Experience litigating across multiple jurisdictions.
• Spanish bilingual proficiency highly valued.
• Strong skills in pleadings, motion practice, and court appearances.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar license in North Carolina; additional state licenses a plus.
