Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dedicated Labor and Employment Attorney to join their team in Fresno, CA. This role offers an opportunity for an attorney with over three years of experience in labor and employment law, particularly those passionate about public entity representation, to make a significant impact on communities throughout California.

Duties

  • Advise public agency clients on personnel matters including hiring, discipline, and termination.
  • Handle matters related to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and employee leave laws.
  • Represent clients in administrative hearings, grievance arbitrations, and collective bargaining negotiations.
  • Assist clients with labor compliance, policy development, and internal investigations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across multiple offices on complex, high-impact cases.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong interest and/or experience working with public agencies or school districts.
  • Knowledge of California labor and employment laws.
