Experienced Immigration Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Immigration Attorney to join their team in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This full-time, hybrid role requires 1-2 days per week in the Melville, NY office, with the remainder remote. The attorney will handle a variety of immigration cases and must be adept at navigating both USCIS and Immigration Court.

Duties

• Manage family-based, SIJS, asylum, and humanitarian cases.
• Communicate with clients on a daily basis.
• Draft filings and legal documents.
• Attend USCIS interviews and court hearings when needed.
• Collaborate with the team in a supportive, organized environment.
• Provide weekly case status update reports to management.

Requirements

• Licensed attorney with at least 2-3 years of U.S. Immigration Law experience.
• Strong organizational, writing, and research skills.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Comfortable in a modern law-firm setting.
• New York license required; New Jersey license preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in New York; New Jersey preferred.
