Labor and Employment Associate (OSHA)

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Labor and Employment Associate with OSHA experience to join its practice group in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, or Utah. The candidate should have at least two years of OSHA experience and may be considered for a counsel or partner role based on experience.

Duties

• Handle state plan OSHA litigation matters in California, Arizona, and/or Nevada.
• Manage Federal OSHA litigation matters.
• Understand OSHA inspection procedures and citation contest procedural rules.
• Conduct discovery and apply knowledge of OSHA standards.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of OSHA litigation experience.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent writing skills.
• State Bar membership in the practicing jurisdiction.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• State Bar membership.

• Proficiency in OSHA litigation procedures.

This large West Coast based law firm is new to Las Vegas, and doing its best to make sure it fits in by continuing to establish itself as a community leader wherever it goes. The firm has a full service business practice that is renowned all over the West, but is also using its new Nevada offices to offer specialty practices that apply especially to Nevada, such as gaming laws to help promote an expansion within the state. While it continues to expand, though, it also leaves room for a lot of pro bono work, which is seen as an important part of each attorney's workload.
