Job Overview
A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Alternative Asset Opportunities practice group in New York. This role involves advising sovereign wealth funds and other large investors on complex transactions across various asset classes globally.

Duties

  • Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents related to complex transactions across asset classes.
  • Advise on deal structuring, governance arrangements, and regulatory considerations for global transactions.
  • Prepare and review transaction agreements, limited partnership agreements, and related documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Manage multiple concurrent transactions from term sheet through closing.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school; admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Two to ten years of transactional or fund experience at a major law firm.
  • Experience with private equity or fund formation transactions.
  • Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating complex investment agreements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Interest in leveraging AI technology and emerging legal tools.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills
