A reputable law firm based in New York City, NY is seeking skilled Litigation Associates to support a diverse caseload spanning general liability defense, property and casualty matters, product liability, and commercial litigation. Duties:

• Manage a high-volume docket with minimal oversight

• Develop strategic defense plans tailored to each case

• Handle all phases of litigation, including:

  • Drafting pleadings and motions

  • Conducting depositions

  • Engaging in court appearances and motion practice

  • Preparing for trial

• Maintain regular communication and reporting with clients and insurance representatives

• Collaborate with legal teams to meet firm and client deadlines efficiently

Requirements:

• Active admission to the New York State Bar

• Admission to New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania is considered an advantage

• 1-5 years of relevant litigation experience, preferably in defense-oriented matters

• Proficiency in managing cases independently and in collaboration with colleagues

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while handling a demanding caseload

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic performance required

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in New York

• Additional Bar admissions (e.g., NJ or PA) preferred

Skills:

• Outstanding legal research and analytical thinking

• Clear, persuasive written and oral advocacy skills

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational capabilities

• Self-directed and able to adapt to shifting priorities

• Receptive to feedback while also displaying initiative
