Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Wealth, Trust & Estate Planning Associate for its Charlotte, NC office. The ideal candidate will have two to four years of experience in trusts and estates, including drafting wills and trusts, with required knowledge of federal estate and gift taxes.

Duties

  • Draft wills, trusts, and related documents.
  • Advise on federal estate and gift tax matters.
  • Engage in estate administration and charitable planning.
  • Assist with planning for closely-held businesses and sophisticated tax strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of experience in trusts and estates.
  • Strong research, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities.

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree (or equivalent).

Certifications

  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar preferred.

Skills

  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents.
  • Knowledge of estate and gift tax laws.
  • Experience with partnerships and corporations.
